The Barbados Marine Spatial Plan

is a marine management process being undertaken by the Government of Barbados as an integral element to its commitment to sustainable development through the development of its blue economy.

The Barbados Marine Spatial Plan (BMSP) aims to create balance between users, and uses of the marine space, giving due consideration to the importance of the ocean and its resources to our communities, to sustaining lives and livelihoods, to preserving our cultural heritage patrimony and to our way of life in Barbados.
